Multi instrumentalist Stompin' Dave is recognized for fusing soulful vocals, virtuosic instrumental skill, and high-octane tap dancing into performances that are entirely unforgettable. Described by Maverick Magazine as “one of the world's greatest performers." Dave brings his own take to a wide spectrum of vintage music embracing bluegrass, blues, classical, country, folk, jazz, rock, rock n roll, soul, and old-time. (He is equally capable of performing a whole evening in one genre or mixing it up.)
Based in Bridport, Dorset Dave has worked exclusively as a musician performing across the UK, and beyond. He started to perform with the stage name Stompin' Dave twenty years ago. since then he has released over forty album, and made over three hundred festival appearances, including some major ones such as Glastonbury, Camp Bestival, and Bestival.
Over the years Dave has stomped his way onto the lineup of many top folk festivals including Cork, Warwick, Towersey, Priddy, and many other folk and music clubs. His vast repertoire ranges from vintage covers, to traditional tunes, and his own originals.
He has been booked as a headlining act at many top events such as The Tolpuddle Martyrs Festival, National Banjo Day, and Rochester Sweeps Festival. Dave has performed at many top venues namely The Royal Festival Hall, The Birmingham Hippodrome, Vicar Street, and many, more.
